Re: Rear Tyres Now that several clubs have introduced an incentive to stop using Motocross rear tyres (RideOffroadUK being the latest) maybe it would be a good idea to "test the water". Personally I don’t think that the FIM Enduro tyres are that much different from Motocross tyres in terms of the holes that they dig, in fact some of them have an identical profile. Trials tyres however are a lot less aggressive, and have been the norm at the Natterjack Enduro for the past few years - it doesn’t seem to have slowed down the Pro’s! Perhaps reserving the front row for riders with Trials tyres would be an incentive (Dead easy to monitor on the grid since they stick out like a sore thumb!) I can guarantee that this would get the serious riders to give it a try. Once the others see the results they might be encouraged to follow suit, especially when they realize how much money they are going to save, and how easy it is to ride over tree roots!

30/04/2008 Latest news - Hope Under Dinmore - Sunday 4th May - Cancelled.......... After a site visit with the Landowner at Hope Under Dinmore it was agreed by both parties that because the land is lying so wet at present especially the parking field. It has been agreed to move the event to next weekend Sunday 11th May. The forecast for the rest of the week and the weekend is very inconsistent with potentially a lot of rain forecast. Anyone who has rode this track in these conditions will know just how difficult it is and the potential damage that would be done to the land. Even worse is actually exiting the parking field which can be more traumatizing that the actual event itself! We apologies for the inconvenience this may cause in view of preserving the land and the enjoyment of riders and a decision had to be made to preserve the future of this venue and the event ect. Anyone who had booked in for this event either by pre pay or by telephone will automatically have the entry moved over to next week unless you tex, email or phone the office to say otherwise. If you cant make next week can you leave your name and race number issued for the day and state whether you can make it or not. If you can do this as soon as possible - so that you can make room for other riders who will want to book in from Monday 5th May email address: secretary@cotswoldenduro.co.uk office phone no: 0116 2202332 / 07790 946239

ive just thought of a great idea, which could please all riders at cec. a 2 race format, genuine riders have the am race, and course cutters the pm race, everybody is happy (apart from the carters and ALL the helpers, of course.) anyway, yesterday was brilliant, course was great, and conditions, tho not perfect, were perfect for a challenging race. thanks to all at cec, marshalls etc etc
