Exiting news…… An all-new Amca
championship for 2008,
not motocross or supermoto but a
Hare & Hound Enduro Series.
The fully backed Amca Championship,
which for 2008 will be run over four rounds.
One day at each round and if it is
successful the possibility of maybe certain rounds being two
days for 2009.
The four main clubs within the Amca
will each run a round a piece starting with the Cotswold Enduro Club on
25th May, after them it will
be down to the Chiltern Hills Enduro Club on 3rd August.
The Series will then move down south where the Xmoor Club
will run on 31st August last but by no mean least
the series next event will again be down south with the
Southern Counties Enduro Club running the final round venue
and date to be announced later.
The format for these events will be
slightly different at each event with each club running
their event to their usual formats which will make each
event unique the one thing that will stay the same is the
classes. Regs and other details for each clubs event can or
will be available in the very near future.
The links to these clubs can be
found at the bottom of this page also if the championship is
a success it is hoped the awards will be given out at the
dirt bike show with press and other media coverage to go
with it.
So basically its up to all you
riders to fully support this new Amca Championship, get
booked in well in advance so the clubs can gear up or gear
down for each round. It is hoped that the majority of
competitors will come from within the four clubs membership
base. If so we believe all the rounds should be full well in
advance. So don’t drag your feet thinking I will book in
next week or I will turn up on the day because that’s no
good to the organizers and there will be closing dates for
each round.
All four clubs are willing to give
this new series 100% and hope you are too.
Its different its new and there is
the potential for some of
you to call yourselves an Amca British Champion at
the end of the year in what ever class you ride in - the
format is user friendly so give it a go.
